Tot School, Fun School, and everything inbetween!

This is going to have to be an all in one post today because, frankly, I was lucky to get through this week with my sanity in tact! We had some days, I tell ya! Some fun, some stressful, but all in all an okay week! So here we go!

I wasn’t as intentional this week with the little one as I have been in the past and therefore only have one picture to show you of our tot school this week! I know, I know, bad mommy!

This was one of the super great deals I got at the curriculum fair last week. I got a couple trains with ABC and 123 blocks for FOUR dollars, ya’ll! When I dragged these babies out he was in hog heaven! He is our motor head and loves ANYthing with wheels and a motor. He sure loved this train too!

I got him several other little games and activities to do together, but didn’t get the time in this week. We have been in and out all week, plus we have family coming next week, so it doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon. I will have to remember to drag out the camera more often though! :)

For fun school, we did a couple of new things I snagged from the curriculum fair and we went to the park! We’d never been there, so DS was absolutely DELIGHTED to find…

Yes, I think he hung out on that thing all afternoon. That is, until the snow cone truck drove by! :) Then, a day camp of about 50 kids came and that place was crawling! Who says my homeschooled child never gets to socialize with other kids?

This little gem uses cuisenaire rods to create pictures and make the letters of the alphabet:

Another great steal for 4$ (the rods and the book!)

These little Pooh puzzle cards have number words on them and since DS loves puzzles, he had no idea he was actually learning the number words too! :) Love it!

Speaking of puzzles, I got this 100 pc dino puzzle for 1$! I thought surely there would be at least one piece missing, but when we put it together, viola! His first 100 pc puzzle! And he did great!

We also had some fun with some M&M’s I brought home from the store one day…We sorted, counted, and compared them…and then ATE them! And you know how they are supposed to melt in your mouth, not in your hand? That is a bold faced LIE I tell you! The little one managed to melt an M&M on the bench beside where he was sitting…how he did it, is a mystery!

Sorry I don’t have more pictures for you! Hopefully next week will be less of a ‘hanging on by a thread’ week and more of a ‘I was born to do this’ week. Of course it will! We’re going to write in pudding on Monday! The boys should love that!

That is a cool dino climber! I bet he had a blast on it. I really like that puzzle too. Especially for a $1.00. Wow! Great deals on all of the other things too. How I love a bargain.

WOW! I think you did a lot of great things this past week. We’ve sorted a lot of things but not M&Ms yet- oh my kids would love that!
Looks like great fun at your house!
    Have another great week!

We have that Pooh # game! The cuisinare rods book just looks too cool though. Isn’t just amazing what little kids can do? They are very mysterious.
Hope you are having a better week this week!
